The idea for Latinas in Podcasting grew out of frustration of being one of the few Latinas in the room at one of the largest podcasting conferences in the U.S. If Latines make up 20% of the population, then why aren’t we better represented in this industry?

Paulette Erato of La Vida Más Chévere teamed up with trailblazer Theresa E. Gonzales of Latinas from the Block to the Boardroom to change that.

It all started in Los Angeles, where Paulette and Theresa hosted a happy hour and a networking event for all Latine podcasters, whether they were bilingual or not. The energy in the room was undeniable, and from those connections the idea for a collective started to take root. While Theresa continues her invaluable work providing a platform for Latinas in business, tech, and social issues, Paulette shifted her focus to bring this virtual summit to life.

Latinas in Podcasting aims to open doors for our community, claim the space we deserve, and support new voices that need to be heard. It’s time for our stories, our experiences, and our talents to shine.
